Get to know Glenna Wilson:
From the time I could talk I was asking for a horse. My parents finally conceded on my third birthday, and I received my first Shetland pony, Honey. We did all things together. I even recall falling asleep on her and waking up just after my unscheduled dismount. Horses have been in my life for as long as I can remember. They have always been considered one of my best friends and, hands down, best listeners. As I've grown older I am still blessed with them in my life, as have my children. Rumor has it that children have the ability to be challenging. Long-story-short, my youngest ended up in our Texas judicial system. I recall sitting on our couch crying, sobbing if you will, and telling our Lord that I am trying to praise Him, even in this circumstance, but it is difficult with such a broken heart. I knew He would be glorified through these events, although I had no clue how. It was through her probationary period that some dear friends and I had the privilege of bringing some of our critters to a camping event sponsored by Juvenile Probation for probationers that "earned" the privilege to attend. Here we were with a dozen 12-17 year old that had never been camping, had NO CLUE what snipe hunting was, and had little or no contact with horses. It was there that I saw the incredible transformation between humans and equines. Something that I could not see, touch, smell, hear, but could feel. All edges softened when the two souls met. It was then that I knew there was something bigger than all of us going on. Something I needed to learn about. Something I wanted to bring back to my community. Through research and contacts I was introduced to our EAGALA model. My oldest daughter-partner, Brittany Ranes, and I became Certified EAGALA Equine Specialist in September of 2009. It was not until September 2011 that our Lord encouraged me to go full time with His endeavor. I must say His endeavor is quite the blessing.

Get to know Sarah Allen M.A., LCDC, LPC-I (pending)
Sarah Allen has enjoyed partnerships with horses, most of her life. Her first birthday pony ride as a 5-year-old started the horse craze and it’s been a lifelong passion ever since. She started riding lessons when she was 8 and eventually found her way onto drill teams, into barrel races, and showing her off track Thoroughbred in Eventing. As she grew up, she taught lessons, groomed, trained and continued to focus on horses while working for local veterinary clinics before she found her passion for counseling. Her husband has been in the Texas Army National Guard for the past 14 years, and for the past 4 years he’s been serving the local community as a police officer as well. That being said, she noticed early on that the mental health needs of the veteran and first responder and their families weren’t being met, and she decided to change majors from Pre-Vet to Psychology. She knew from personal experience that the bravest amongst us, don’t ask for help easily, and with the financial support of a national military counseling scholarship, she became Eagala certified as an ES in 2017, and started volunteering with Bent Anchor Ranch. In between being a regular member of the Student Veterans Organization on the UT Tyler campus and serving as VP for a semester, balancing being a LEO/Army spouse with 3 children, and volunteering for a year at a local Crisis Center- she finally graduated in December of 2019 with her Masters in Counseling. After she became a fully licensed Addictions counselor in 2020, she then became a dual certified ES/MHP with Eagala and is currently working on becoming a military designated ES/MHP while waiting on her LPC-Intern paperwork to process with the State.
